Also, I'm linking to stories that agree with my own personal political views (which Price doesn't even have - everyone on the show voted for the same guy you liked), and soccer (which no one on Price even knows the rules to), and lots of other things not related to The Price Is Right at all (which no one on Price even thinks about). So I thought it better to get a new, different twitter name to avoid any confusion when posting non-Price Is Right stuff before I got too many followers. (Over 7,900 in less than a week! Whoo!)
From now on, @DrewFromTV for all my Drew Carey, the comedian tweets.
And, @TPIRHost for all my tweets about The Price Is Right.
Cheers! :)
From a fellow blogger myself, welcome to the wonderful (well, mostly) world of blogging, Drew!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed The Drew Carey Show very much (in part because my parents are from northern Ohio: my dad from Cleveland and my mom from Sandusky) and I look forward to your insights here, particularly as a former champion on another game show that shall remain nameless (but it rhymes with, um, "Weppardy!") ... and as long as I'm name-dropping, I also was a college classmate of "Whose Line's" Chip Esten ... :)
Anyway, I don't think I'll agree with you much politically, but I've always enjoyed you as an actor and comedian, so please consider me a fan and a reader (and a follower on Twitter, too). Again, welcome to blogging, and best wishes.
Probably not a bad idea, especially considering the telephone pole screamers.
ReplyDeleteThat's funny and a good idea. I have two Twitter accounts and two FB accounts. One Twitter is for all the church announcements. The other one is linked to my real personal stuff. The other FB account is for church people, as known as the place for "nice" me...where my funnier jokes don't live. I haven't confused them yet, but I have in a foggy, late night moment typed in an alternate spelling of twitter that's equally funny and wondered What the heck??? Why isn't this working? Watch your bleary eyed moments, friend.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, I'm following both of you. ;-) (Remember not physically. I'm not a stalker.)
Glad you're doing this. You are the smartest comedian in all the land when it comes to politics. It would be a shame to be "priced out" of your best stuff on Twitter. Keep up the fantastic work, my friend...
ReplyDeleteDidn't he leave his hiking gear in the car at the airport? :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't even realize it was a joke about the Governor, I thought it was a joke about the Cliff Hangers game! Either way, very funny.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work!

Thanks Drew for the head's up on that... following both now. :)
ReplyDeleteWell done, Drew. Glad to see your blogs & tweets! I've been a big fan of your work over the years - here's wishing you continued success.
ReplyDeleteI'm bummed that I have a day job and so have yet to watch TPIR with you as the host. That thing about needing money for gas and groceries and the like really gets in the way of things like fun. :D

I thought that was a great joke about the Governor, but you're probably right about needing a separate Twitter to keep that stuff separate from TPIR.
ReplyDeleteMuch love from a fellow Buckeye

So, that means that Bill Bryson is a giant, giant perv?

watched the last TPIR of the season ^_^ the "french fail" is already on youtube!
ReplyDeleteWonder if the new host of the upcoming French revival of TPIR will take revenge! (he is a comedian named Vincent Lagaf')
Drew's not the first game show host to have a blog and two twitter accounts.
ReplyDeleteRobert Q. Lewis. Seriously. Dude was a techie.
Already following both of the Fabulous Twittering Drews. Love the pics & comments. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWill either one have you telling people in 140 characters or less what you're having for breakfast, or that you just released some pent up flatus? Cause I wish Twitter would have an "opt out of completely innane crap" setting. I'd love to hear the jokes you have, but there's a limit, and other people (not you from what I've seen) simply have no internal censoring.
ReplyDeleteNo, Bob. I save all that news for the comments section. Off to have some pasta and chicken! (And despite a days worth of exertions, I haven't farted since I woke up this morning.) :)
ReplyDeleteA lot of people do seperate blogs like that as well... i just say be who you are in one spot. If someone doesnt like it, they can move on. It seems too complicated to have yourself in lots of places.
ReplyDeleteEspiecally when you have a 4 year old..I have one of those too. They are more work then social networking!
